What the job involves
This started as something to do when it was too wet to mow, and turned into a real part of what we do. Our 12-year-old and 9-year-old work on these — measuring, fractions, and learning their way around tools safely.
What we build: raised garden beds in almost any size, cedar or pressure-treated, built and installed. Tiered and box planters, from small porch boxes up to full raised beds. Address signs and posts made from weathered fence pickets — rustic, and they last. Benches with built-in planters, solid wood, slatted and stained. Three-tier cedar worm farms with galvanised mesh, for making your own compost. And indoor pieces like six-tier spice racks, wall or door mounted.
We've also built from reclaimed material — old fence pickets and salvaged boardwalk. When we have it, we'll offer it. Just ask what's on hand.
Cedar lasts longer and looks better; treated costs less. Both work, and we'll quote either. Raised beds are almost always custom, so tell us the footprint and the height you want.
