Flower & Perennial Planting in Anderson, Indiana
Schmidt Sons Landscaping plants annuals and perennials across Anderson and Madison County — bed prepped, plants placed and planted, mulched in and watered, with honest advice on what survives an Indiana summer.
What the job involves
Perennials come back every year. More money the first season, then they're just yours. Annuals give you the loud color all summer and you replant next spring. Most good beds are both — perennials for the structure, annuals in front for the color.
Half of what makes a planting work is putting the right plant in the right spot. A shade plant on the south side of a house in an Anderson July is going to look sad by August no matter how well it went in, and we'll tell you before you buy it rather than after it dies.
What's included: bed prepped and cleaned out, plants placed and checked with you before anything goes in the ground, planted, mulched in, and watered before we leave — with instructions for the first two weeks, which is when most new plantings are won or lost.
We garden ourselves, too — cucumbers, green beans, cayenne, tomatoes and one hopeful pineapple. That's not a sales pitch, it's just that we do this at home as well.
Worth knowing
We can supply the plants or plant what you've bought. Either works — say which when you ask for the estimate.
