Every visit is the same job done the same way: mowed with a push mower, trimmed around the house, fence line, trees, posts and beds, then the walks, drive and porch blown off clean.

There's a reason we've stayed on push mowers. A rider is faster, but it scalps high spots, tears turf on the turns, and can't get close to anything. On a quarter-acre yard that difference is the whole job.

Weekly is the standard through the growing season and it's what most of the route is on. Bi-weekly works well in mid-summer or on a slower-growing yard. One-time mows are welcome too — a lot of ours are people selling a house, coming back from vacation, or just getting behind after a wet stretch.

Our recurring route fills up in early spring and has stayed full. If you want a regular weekly slot for next season, the time to ask is February or March. One-time and project work stays open all season.
